Flora and Fauna in CumbrecitaLa Cumbrecita has a rich flora and fauna, therefore it was declared a wild-life reserve. There are mostly cedars, firs and cypresses, but also three kinds of oak,birches,ash trees, walnut, willowtrees, and chestnut. Genister, varbena, cosmos,muskrose and a variety of moss and fern also feel very good here, as well as nettle, clover, wild Strawberries and different sorts of mushrooms, two of them eatable. In the sky above La Cumbrecita you see thrushes, benteveos, pigeons, owls,woodpeckers, colibries, parrots and different birds of prey. If you are lucky you see a wild Hamster, a ferret or a fox or even a squirrel.
